Game developer and filmmaker Josef Fares is known for being outspoken, and now one of his most memorable outbursts has been immortalized in his latest game, It Takes Two. It has been discovered that Fares’ memorable “f**k the Oscars” comment from The Game Awards back in 2017 is featured in the game as an Easter egg.
Games media veteran Geoff Keighley, the host of The Game Awards and the person standing next to Fares as he said the line during the show, shared a clip of the Easter egg on Twitter. It simply plays what sounds like the direct audio from Fares’ speech at The Game Awards, which is pretty great. Have a listen for yourself:

Read moreWhen Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arrives in cinemas in May 2025, it’ll mark the end of a six-year wait to see Marvel’s mightiest heroes reassemble, double the length of time that occurred between the first three Avengers films. According to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, the reason why such a large gap exists between Avengers films is due to each new Phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe being built on a larger foundation of team-up movies and series.
“The truth is, when we were doing Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3, there were less projects over more years,” Feige said to MTV News (via Variety). “They were smaller projects and individual character stories, and it felt appropriate at that point, that after every two or three years that it took for a phase, we would do an Avengers film. Avengers films really should be the capper to a saga.
According to Feige, the need to finish each Phase with an Avengers film felt less necessary with big team-up movies such as Docto…
Read moreIf you haven’t seen Deadpool and Wolverine yet, we’ll refrain from stating how the film references Logan in both hilarious and poignant ways. Logan was originally intended as Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine performance before he changed his mind and returned for the third Deadpool movie. Now, Logan director James Mangold is weighing in on what he sees as a big problem for shared movie universes like the MCU.
“I don’t do multiverses,” said Mangold during an interview with Rolling Stone. “It’s weird that I’ve even worked in the world of IP entertainment because I don’t like multi-movie universe-building. It’s the enemy of storytelling. The death of storytelling. It’s more interesting to people the way the Legos connect than the way the story works in front of us.”
Mangold has previously directed The Wolverine and Logan, as well as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. But the surprising thing about the director’s aversion to multi-movie universes is that he’s lined up for …
Read moreThe iconic duo of “the video game industry” and “leaked secrets” has allegedly struck again, as footage of what is purported to be a brand-new franchise in the PlayStation portfolio has leaked onto the web.
According to the Reddit post hosting the footage, a new project, which industry insider Dusk Golem has nicknamed “Ooze,” is in the works. The author of the post does not specify which studio is working on it, only saying that it’s “based in Europe.” A follow-up image posted to ResetEra implies the studio could be Outriders dev People Can Fly, as the word “Red” on the leaked footage’s HUD matches an internal codename shown on a PCF slide deck.

Read moreLinda Rondstadt’s 1970 hit song “Long Long Time” was featured in the January 29 episode of The Last of Us, and streams of the song on Spotify jumped by 4900%. However, Ronstadt will not earn a penny from the explosion in popularity for the song because she sold her music catalog years ago.
The song was written by Gary White, who is presumably lined up for a payday thanks to the resurgence in popularity.

Read moreIt only feels right to begin this review with a confession: I am not someone who saw good reason for there to be a follow-up to the original Life is Strange game. I felt that way when Beyond the Storm was announced, and I felt that way again when Deck Nine revealed they would be continuing Max Caulfield’s story with Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Though I enjoyed the first game well enough, I felt as if the ensuing titles that both Don’t Nod and Deck Nine worked on–such as Life is Strange 2, Life is Strange: True Colors, and Tell Me Why–explored more interesting topics and boasted more compelling protagonists. To me, Max always felt a bit overshadowed by those around her–characters with intense flaws and strong personalities that drove the game’s plot and imbued emotion into the story. And after playing Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and despite having high hopes that it might persuade me, I unfortunately still feel the same.
In Life is Strange: Double Expos…
